📚Chapter Five📚

I woke up the next morning with a smile on my l-ips which got me confused.Why am I smiling,huh??

I shrugged and wore a footwear before walking to the bathroom.I brought out my toothbrush and applied my paste to it before I began brushing.

But suddenly,I began thinking of Belle again. Oh,belle!

Even though she have just been in my house for two days,I noticed she have a really nice character.She is hærdworking too,she isn’t a lazy person.

And also,she keeps me company.She loves to talk and maybe that is what is drawing me closer to her.I haven’t live with anybody for the past six years and now that she is here,am not feeling lonely anymore.

I should probably let her stay for a few more days,i do need somebody to keep me company.

But what if she is pretending to be nice so that I can allow her stay in my house for a few more days.

No!! That’s not true or maybe if it is,I wouldn’t take it lightly with her if i find out

After dropping my toothbrush,I walked to the kitchen to prepare food.I was a bit hungry and I seriously..can’t go to work without eating.

But,i was surprised to see Belle in the kitchen eating some slices of bread.She seem to be enjoying it as she sang to a song while licking her l-ips severely.

She didn’t notice me at first but when she finished the last slice of the bread in her hand, she turned to me looking surprised.

“Oh! You are here??”.She said but I didn’t answer that question.

“What are you doing here?”.I asked as softly as I could but she frowned.

Wow! This was the first time I was actually seeing her frown.

“What do you mean by that? Am I not allowed in here??”.She said,a bit anger in her voice.

Did I ask a bad question??

“Am sorry,I didn’t mean th…”.She cut me off with a laugh.

“Ahh! I was just joking”.She continued laughing and i smiled.

I don’t know why but whatever she smiles and laugh,I always feel happy.

“So,what is this called? It taste delicious”.She asked and my mouth almost dropped.

Gosh!! She don’t know what a bread is,she is ridiculous.

“It is called a bread,okay?”.I rolled my eyes as I turned on the gas cooker.

“Oh! Bread! It is a nice name for something as delicious as this”.She said and took another slice of bread in her hands.

She is ridiculous and funny..

“What are you gonna prepare,huh?”.She asked as I saw me place the pot on the flame.

“Steamed rice and dumplings, I guess you must have heard of it”.I said and she bent her head,looking embarrassed.

“I mostly eat food without being told the name,so it isn’t my fault if I know the name or not”.She said and bit her l-ips shyly.

While cooking,I noticed she was staring at me with so much interest and I decided to ask her a question.Who knows…it might be true.

“Can you cook? I mean can you prepare any food on your own without anybody assisting you?”.I asked and she sighed,nervously.

“I can’t cook”.She said slowly and I gasped.

She must be joking..

“Are you serious?”.I asked and she nodded.

“Oh my Gosh!! That is so bad,Belle,why didn’t you learn from your mum?.At your age,you should be able to cook if not many foods then at least few but you can’t even cook one.Have you ever thought about who was going to cook for your husband when you get married or did you think manner will fall from the sky if he is hungry??”.I tried to keep my voice low as I spoke but still,it remained high.

“It isn’t my fault,okay? My parents should be blamed,they don’t allow me to go near the kitchen,they don’t allow me touch the pots and my mum can’t even cook.They said it a taboo in the kingdom for us to cook.The maids cook not us!!”.She yelled but soon clam down when she realized what she just said.

I was confused,I was very confused.

Which kingdom??

Which maids???

What is she talking about????

I had to dash to bath when the time clocked 6:55am.I was almost late for work!!

I quickly wore a red shirt and blue p-nt,i combed my hair after applying my hair cream then I walked to the dining room.

I smiled seeing Belle arranging breakfast on the dining table before I sat on a seat.I watched her sit too before we began eating in silence as usual.

I wanted to say something,anything but I felt like my mouth was sealed.

Soon enough,I finished eating and stood to go to work but her voice stopped me.

“Where are you going to?”.There was a bit of fear in her voice and that made me confused.

“To work of course”.I replied but in a flash,she stood and grabbed my arm fearfully.

“NO!! DON’T GO!!!”.She scre-med the fear now visible in her eyes.

“Some bad boys are planing to kill you on your way back from work”.She added and my eyes w¡den in shock.

Not only did my eyes w¡den in shock but my mouth dropped too.

Like….what did she just say??

Did i even hear her clearly???

But Oh God! Her expression says it all,she really said that but why? Why would she say that? What is she talking about?

“I do…n’t under…stand”.I sputtered, staring at her with wide eyes. I wanted to know if she said that mistakenly cause right now,I was feeling scared.

“That’s the truth,please believe me”.She said with a crack in her voice as she stare at me worriedly.

But what she said made me panicked. I couldn’t believe it,i couldn’t believe someone wants to kill me.

Not just someone but some persons,they wants to kill me.They are planning to kill me!!

Oh my Goodness! What have I done wrong? Who did I offend? Who wants to take my life?? Or it is the T boys???

But still,I don’t get it!! How did Belle know? Who told her?? How did she even find out??

“How did you know Belle? Who told you??”.I asked breathlessly trying to get some air.

I was suffocating!! I couldn’t breathe.

“Well…”.She said and bit her l-ips,taking her eyes to the floor.

“I had a dream,I saw them planning it in my dream.They were planning to kill you”.She said and I scoffed,looking angry.

What?!!

I can’t believe I went through all this because of a mere dream. Damn! I feel so angry right now.

“Have you gone nuts,Belle?? I can’t actually believe you made me waste my time here because a dream. A mere dream!!”.I snapped and she turned to stare at me looking hurt.

“No! Please,listen to me.It isn’t just a mere dream. My dream always come to pass whether it’s good or bad,please believe me”.She begged and I rolled my eyes and began walking away but she pull my hands,making turn to her.

My anger increased and I fought with the urge to push her away.Am now late for work and here she is,delaying me with her crazy dream talk.Gosh!!

“Darn it,Belle! Stop! Am tired of all this”.I yelled and her watery eyes stare into my eyes.

As she did that,I felt light shone into my eyes for a second and I instantly removed my glance on her.

What just happened,huh?

“I wish I can make you believe me but I can’t but I still want you to believe me because I don’t want you to die.You are a nice guy and nice people shouldn’t die so easily”.She said and i almost believe her but i shook my head.

No! I shouldn’t believe her,dreams are not real and they can never be real.

Softly,I took my hand in hers and made her stare at me but she didn’t stare at my eyes this time but my face.

“Look,Belle!! Dreams are not real,okay? Let’s just say they are those unreal images we see when we are asleep and when we wake up,they just disappear then it is called a dream.They might seem real but the truth is that they are not real and can never be real. So please Belle,stop saying that your dream will come true if I go to work cause it will never come true”.I sounded more calmly while speaking but still,I noticed she wasn’t convinced at all.

“I understand what you are saying but i don’t believe you.My dream always come true,I really know what am saying and I hope you believe me”.She said fearfully and I rolled my eyes.

So,i just wasted my time talking..Gosh!!

“Bye Belle”.I shrugged and went to work,sending her a glare.

Am late for work just because of her and I wonder what boss will do to me.

It was a cold night.

I shivered silently as I walked back home from work,i decided to board a taxi since my legs were too cold to even walk but when I check my wallet,i found out I had no money left.

Dammit!

My wallet was empty.

I frowned as I walked back home staring at the silent night,no humans were no the road and I felt a bit afraid.

Trying not to be scared,I hurried to my house but few seconds later,I saw two shadows approaching me.Oh no! Not two but four.

But they were coming closer to me,why?? Before i think again,I heard a voice speak so coldly.

“Grab him,guys!!”.It was a voice I seem to recognize.
